In the summer, The BIYC hosts sailboat racing In Eagle Harbor on Friday nights. Boats should not be over 27 ft. Races start around 5:00 and anyone is welcome to join in. We often run 2 or 3 races depending on the wind. The main fleet consists of 4 Solings for some great one design action. The club house is open and we have a float for spectators to cheers us on. Following the race we usually head up to the club house for a bar-b-que. Anyone wishing to participate is encourage to get in a boat. No experience necessary. it's a great way to learn to sail with some fun competition.

Solings are great fun. We get 3->6 Solings out for our Friday night races here on Orcas. We sail May->September at Westsound.

Too bad we are so far from each other. Wouldn't it be fun to race against each other!
